Killiecrankie Remembered

The weekend of 25th-26th July gave visitors to Killiecrankie Battlefield a taste of seventeenth century warfare! Re-enactors from across the British Isles joined in with the impressive community-hosted commemorations, which saw a fun mix of living history, dramatic displays, lively entertainment and traditional crafts and culture.

There were also presentations on the plans to dual the A9, which will involved archaeological survey on the 1689 battlefield.

This was the second year that the event has run, and 2015 was even more enjoyable than the previous year's very promising beginnings. We should all be looking forward to 2016. Well done Killiecrankie!
