Dunbar's 370th Anniversary

On Thursday 3 September we laid a wreath at the Battle of Dunbar Monument in honour of those who fought and fell in the battle of 1650. We were also able to unveil the designs of the first interpretation boards of the battlefield trail, which are due to be installed at the monument soon.

The commemoration was live-streamed on social media, allowing people from all over the world to watch - including our friends from the Scottish Prisoners of War Society, descendants of Dunbar veterans taken prisoner at the battle.

Scottish Battlefields Trust

The Scottish Battlefields Trust is a new independent trust, an advocate for Scotland's rich battlefield heritage. The Trust is open to all who wish to work towards the greater promotion, interpretation, and protection of Scottish battle sites.
